Treatment Modalities and Focus

Several modalities are used with the main focus on Traditional Chinese, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture, the Balance Method, Auricular (ear), Master Tong,  Backupuncture and Korean Hand acupuncture. Very thin needles are inserted into the surface of the skin. Micro-current/Electostim may be added for the most effective treatment.

We utilize patent, encapsulated and tablet forms of Traditional Chinese herbs and supplements according to a clients’ individual needs which can be short term or longer depending on the disorder.

Cupping is a therapy in which a cupping jar is attached to the skin surface. It has the function of warming and promoting the free flow of qi and blood in the meridians, dispelling cold dampness, diminishing swelling and pain. It can be used for low back, shoulder, and leg pain. Frequently cupping is used to treat common cold, cough, and asthma.

Tui na or tuina / ˌ t w iː ˈ n ɑː /, is a form of Chinese manipulative therapy often used in conjunction with acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping. It is very beneficial in musculoskeletal disorders.

Facial Acupuncture is a full constitutional treatment that views the face as an extension of the meridians of the body, which flow from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head. When the face is needled, blood flow and Qi (energy) carry nutrients to the cellular structure. The body interprets the insertion of the needle as a “positive” injury or micro-trauma, which, in turn, through stimulation of fibroblasts, can increase collagen output. Some of the facial benefits are: 1. Reduces symptoms of Bell’s palsy, TMJ, neuropathies, and aids stroke patients. 2. Can improve collagen production and muscle tone. 3. Reduce bags and sagging tendencies/fills out sunken tone. 4. Eliminate lines and diminish larger wrinkles. 5. Reduces double chin, sagging neck and lifts drooping mouth and eyelids. 6. Eliminates edema and puffiness, and bags under the eyes. 7. Tightens pores and brightens eyes. 8. Improves facial color; provides more radiance to the skin. 9. Reduces stress; promotes total health and well-being. 10. Brings light and Shen (life) into the eyes. The Constitutional benefits are: 1. Improves acne (caused by hormonal imbalance). 2. Treats menopause, perimenopause, PMS and other GYN issues. 3. Helps sinus congestion and headache PG.7 (except severe migraine). 4. Treats diarrhea and constipation (most digestive issues). 5. Benefit’s eyes ears and brain. 6. Retards hair loss and hair greying. 7. Helps insomnia and dizziness. 8. Helps depression and aids self-esteem.

This process uses specialty ear candles to assist in gently removing ear wax and yeast from the ears. This process can be beneficial for the sinus cavities and parotid gland.

IQS Machine Electro-dermal Testing is used to question the body’s Innate Intelligence. Results of those questions are recorded and then the answers are presented back to the patient and practitioner in an easy to understand format. There are three basic types of queries that can be performed… Stress, Remedy, and Evaluation. There is a library of over 7,000 items that can be tested for. The Traditional Chinese meridian balancing technique may be used on the IQS machine. A simple Stress Survey conducted using a Biofeedback type of response is a fast and effective way to examine a clients’ overall wellbeing or to expose any sensitivities they may have. To begin, a baseline measurement is either recorded at each of the ten basic acupuncture meridian points on either hand or the palm. Once the baseline measurements have been recorded, more complete queries (questions) can be conducted on other aspects of the client’s wellbeing. Electro-dermal Testing is accurate in detecting and clearing allergies.
